ČACHFEST

A cross-border festival where three countries meet to co-create culture, solve local problems, and connect businesses across Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria.

The problem

Limited cultural exchange and awareness between bordering regions of Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.

The solution

dynamic, trilateral event bringing together the bordering regions of Czechia, Slovakia, and Austria to transform limited cultural awareness into active collaboration. By blending shared entertainment (music, crafts, gastronomy) with structured dialogue between local entrepreneurs, cross-border investors, and municipal authorities, the festival creates a permanent, resident-driven channel to co-identify and solve joint local challenges, turning the border from a barrier into a bridge.

Who it's for

Without structured, recurring, and joyful face-to-face exchange, the border remains a psychological and economic wall. This festival makes it a shared living room, where problems are named together, and solutions are built together.

What we built & tested

We built an interactive digital hub for a cross‑border festival, a living platform that turns passive attendees into active co‑creators. Swipe & decide: Participants browse and swipe on proposed festival activities. The most popular ideas become real‑time program highlights. Submit & vote: Anyone can contribute their own festival idea. The community votes, and the best ones rise to the top. Problem‑to‑resource matching: Citizens name local challenges. Businesses offer solutions from expertise to materials, and showcase their regional products. A direct bridge between those who struggle and those who can help. Living recommendation map: An interactive pinboard for food, nature, and culture across all three border regions, curated by locals, for visitors and neighbours alike. Crowdsourced soundtrack: A shared Spotify playlist where every participant adds their favorite song. The festival’s rhythm is written by the crowd.
